LC / UPC Optical Fiber Attenuator Male to Female / variable optical attenuators
LC Fiber Optic Attenuator is a component installed in a fiber optic transmission system that reduces the power in the optical signal. And it is often used to limit the optical power received by the photo detector to within the limits of the optical receiver.
LC attenuator feature a proprietary type of metal-ion doped fiber which reduces the light signal as it passes through. This method of attenuation allows for higher performance than fiber splices or fiber offsets or fiber clearance, which function by misdirecting rather than absorbing the light signal. LC attenuator are capable of performing in the 1310 nm and 1550 nm for Single-Mode, and 850nm for Multi-Mode (but only attenuation as 2dB,5dB,10dB,15dB for 50/125um and 2dB,5dB).
